I've been googling ethical issues in the medical field for about an hour now and I'm stumped. One that has stood out to me is eithical issues in care for the elderly, but that deals with healthcare. Healthcare is important and certainly an ethical issue today, but it is a little to common for me to write about. I want to find something more specific. My field of the "medical field" is pretty broad so if y'all have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!
Medical malpractice is a big issue. Whether doctors are prescribing medicines treating ADD and ADHD, things like that for the right reasons. Many people take medicine even if they don't really need it. Some doctors just prescribe them for the money. Also some surgeons have been caught doing operations that weren't needed. My sister actually had this happen to her. Most ethical issues inevitably have to do with money. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteWow that's crazy haha I actually came up with the topic for writing about the abuse of Adderall like right before I read this! You just encouraged me even further that this topic will work! Thanks!
